Track performance and insights across channels with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) integrated into ØSTEN AI.
Overview
- Connect your GA4 property to unlock traffic, conversion, and attribution insights in the dashboard.
- Uses a frontend OAuth callback for a seamless, secure connection.
Prerequisites
- A Google account with access to the GA4 property you want to connect.
- Your ØSTEN AI organization created and selected.
How to Connect GA4
- Go to Dashboard → Analytics or Dashboard → Settings → Integrations → Google Analytics.
- Click “Connect Google Analytics 4”.
- Approve access in the Google consent screen.
- You will be redirected to the frontend callback page:

- Wait while we fetch your available GA4 properties.
- Select the property you want to connect, then confirm.
Notes:
- GA must NOT load on any dashboard or OAuth success pages; we adhere to strict privacy rules.
- Only public pages (landing, marketing, login, signup, data deletion) load Google Analytics scripts.
Viewing Analytics
- After connecting, navigate to Dashboard → Analytics.
- You’ll see key KPIs and charts based on your GA4 data.
- Filters, date ranges, and export options are available where applicable.
Disconnecting GA4
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Integrations → Google Analytics.
- Click “Disconnect”.
- Confirm to remove the link to your GA4 property from ØSTEN AI.
Troubleshooting
- No properties found:
- Ensure your Google account has access to the intended GA4 property.
- Try switching the Google account during OAuth if you have multiple accounts.
- Redirect URI mismatch:
- Ensure the OAuth client in Google Cloud Console includes:
https://app.ostenai.com/dashboard/google-analytics/callback
- Ensure the OAuth client in Google Cloud Console includes:
- Authorization errors:
- Reconnect GA4 and ensure you approve the requested scopes.
Privacy & Data Handling
- We only request the minimum scopes needed to read analytics data.
- Analytics scripts do not run on the dashboard or callback pages to avoid any unintended tracking.
